Our hotel has been family-owned since it was founded in 1905.
The Wittelsbacher Hof is located on the southern edge of Oberstdorf with a fantastic view of the Oberallgäu mountain landscape.

My love of the mountains brought me back home after my training and several years of hiking abroad.
Even today, I still jump up into the mountains as often as I can – in summer and winter.
Many of you have become friends, some of you accompany me on my hikes and ski tours.
That’s how it should be in the future too.

The “Wittelsbacher Hof” has always been something “very special” and charming for me.
It is always a challenge to “move with the times”, but at the same time to keep an eye on the “old values”.
And when you look into satisfied faces at the end of the day and receive a smile, then you know that you have done everything right.
Impressions of our hotel
In 1905, the house received permission to give its name directly from the royal family of the time.
Our guest book is full of famous personalities and in 1930 even the Dutch royal family stayed at the Wittelsbacher Hof.
A bit of history and a pinch of nostalgia still bear witness to a past that is well worth seeing.
